The Skateroom
James Rosenquist F-111: Triptych A (Girl) Skateboard Deck Set
$540.00
In this first collaboration with the James Rosenquist Foundation, THE SKATEROOM presents the monumental American Pop artist’s work, F-111 across four limited skateboard editions. Painted during 1964-65 – in the middle of one of America’s most turbulent decades – the piece addresses the connection between the Vietnam War, consumerism and advertising. Part of MoMA’s collection, F-111 is a dramatic parade of juxtapositions, highlighting the sinister contradictions of 60s America. In F-111: Triptych A (Girl), THE SKATEROOM focuses on one of the most iconic sections of Rosenquist’s piece: the girl in the hairdryer.
