Mick Haggerty is a renowned graphic artist based in Los Angeles and Durban, South Africa, and is best known for his album cover designs for musical groups like David Bowie, The Police, and the B-52s among many others. Recently he has turned his attention to creating fine art prints like this one that clearly demonstrate his interest in street signage in all its vibrancy and diversity.
Established in 1965, the Prints and Drawings Council (PDC) supports the Prints and Drawings Department at LACMA. In addition to raising funds for acquisitions for the museum’s permanent collection, the PDC encourages collecting, scholarship, and appreciation in the field of original works of art on paper.
