Ed Ruscha Blackwing Pencils (Set of 12) for LACMA
$27.00
This Ed Ruscha Blackwing Pencil Set will have you writing and drawing in style. Created in partnership with artist Ed Ruscha and Blackwing, this writing set is a top-tier addition to anyone's desk drawer or pencil bag.
The box set of 12 pencils features 6 quotes by Ed Ruscha printed in embossed gold text:
"Hollywood is like a verb to me"
"I just happened to paint words like someone else paints flowers"
"Art has to be something that makes you scratch your head"
"I like the idea of a word becoming a picture"
"The number one rule is that there are no rules"
"Words have temperatures to me"
The original Blackwing 602—with its distinctive rectangular eraser that can be extendable or replaceable—was introduced by the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company in 1934 and was aimed at artists, writers, and musicians for everyday use. It quickly became a favorite of many famous artists of the day and was known for being "feathery-smooth."
Ruscha is a loyal user of Blackwing pencils, and the Ed Ruscha Blackwing Pencil Set was produced to celebrate the exhibition ED RUSCHA / NOW THEN.
Each pencil is crafted with Genuine incense cedar from the forests of California and Oregon and premium Japanese graphite.
- 12 fine-art quality limited edition pencils
- Graphite, silver ferrule, pink eraser
