GIANT House of Cards, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1952, is the classic Eames toy writ large. The images on this deck images taken from “the Arts, Sciences and the World Around Us” on one side, and vibrant color panels on the other. Six slots on each card interlock to allow structures of myriad shapes and sizes to be built.
Charles and Ray Eames lived in Southern California and their living room was featured in the LACMA exhibition California Design, 1960-1965: Living in an Modern Way. LACMA's permanent collections include over 60 objects designed by this husband and wife team.
