Betye Saar (born in 1926 in Los Angeles) is one of the most talented artists of her generation. Her work consistently addresses issues of race, gender, and spirituality that are particularly important in the context of the diversity of contemporary America. Very much a part of the strong assemblage tradition of southern California, Saar’s work combines many different symbols and objects found on her travels across Africa, Mexico, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean, as well as in LA itself.

This limited edition print was published by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 2020 with Eric Gero Editions as part of LACMA’s ongoing print program.

This work may require additional shipping costs. If so, we will contact you if this is necessary.
