Shipping

Merchandise shipped from LACMA to addresses within the State of California will be charged the current Los Angeles tax. Orders shipped to addresses outside the State of California will not be charged tax.

Packages are shipped by the United States Postal Service or UPS. We will contact you if your order requires specialized shipping based on size or weight. International orders are shipped via DHL or the United States Postal Service by Airmail Parcel Post. International order recipients are responsible for paying duties and taxes on items. Orders abandoned due to non-payment of duties and taxes will not be refunded. 

Shipping rates are based on the merchandise total before taxes. Shipping rates vary by selected delivery method. 
 
We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or major holidays.

Flat Shipping Rate orders will be shipped out in 3-7 business days for orders made before 12pm PST on the date ordered.  

UPS Ground orders will be shipped out in 2-3 business days for orders made before 12pm PST on the date ordered. 

Express orders will be shipped out in 1-2 business days for orders made before 12pm PST on the date ordered.

$0 - $30.00 (order total before taxes): $8.95
$30.01 - $50.00 (order total before taxes): $10.95
$50.01 - $75.00 (order total before taxes): $12.95
$75.01 - $100 (order total before taxes): $14.95
$100.01 - $200.00 (order total before taxes): $19.95
$200.01 and up (order total before taxes): $24.95

All orders over $300.00 must be shipped with "Signature Required". The LACMA Store cannot be held responsible for mislaid or stolen packages. Shipping and delivery charges are non-refundable.


Holiday Cutoff Dates

Order by these dates to ensure your order is delivered before or by December 24, 2024. Shipping fees vary.

Non-Expedited Shipping Orders:
Order by Friday, December 13th, 12PM PST

Expedited Shipping Orders:
UPS Three-Day Select - Tuesday, December 17th, 12PM PST
UPS 2nd Day Air - Wednesday, December 18th, 12PM PST
UPS Next Day Air - Thursday, December 19th, 12PM PST

International Shipping Orders: 
Order by Friday, November 29th, 12PM PST

Custom Prints Cutoff Dates:
International orders (framed or unframed) - Order by December 1
Custom drop-ship orders (framed orders) - Order by December 6
Unframed stretched canvas prints - Order by December 11
Unframed paper prints - Order by December 15

Local pickup orders should be made by December 19th, 12PM PST to be guaranteed ready for pickup before or by December 24, 2024. 

The LACMA Store is closed on December 25.

All orders subject to inventory availability. 


Return and Exchange Policy

  • If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return the items to us in its original condition within 30 days.
  • Limited editions, memberships, periodicals, posters, jewelry, and sale items are non-returnable unless damaged.
  • A refund, credit, or exchange will be issued for items returned, excluding shipping charges.
  • Online purchases may be returned at the Museum Store location with a Receipt/Invoice.
  • Processing refunds will take up to 3 weekdays.
  • Return shipping costs are at the customer’s expense.
  • Returns must be accompanied with a receipt/invoice.
  • If your items arrive damaged, please contact us at 323.857.6146 or webstore@lacma.org, we may need images of the damage.
