Barbara Kruger Untitled (Shafted) Mug
$13.50
Barbara Kruger (United States, b. 1945) is one of the most significant and visible artists of our time. As an active consumer and vigilant viewer of popular culture, Kruger grapples with the accelerated ways pictures and words instantaneously flow through media and how they are simultaneously played and replayed.
The source of inspiration for this black mug with text is Barbara Kruger's installation Untitled (Shafted), 2008, in the elevator shaft of LACMA's BCAM building. This has a detail containing the words MOISTURIZERS and COMPUTERS.
LACMA's permanent collection includes works by Kruger. Unframed, LACMA's blog, has more information on Untitled (Shafted) including a flattened look at the graphics.
- 15 oz. mug is 4.57 in. tall and 3.35 in. in diameter
- Microwave and dishwasher safe
- California Proposition 65 compliant
- Made in Thailand for LACMA
