Yoshitomo Nara: Slash With a Knife
$41.40
This is a reissue of Yoshitomo Nara's original work, a drawing book that has been long-awaited for 25 years. The book contains over 100 drawings and words that were created during his stay in Los Angeles in the spring of 1998.
The drawings, which are of children who seem to stare back at him, were drawn on scraps of notebooks and envelopes. These drawings are the inspiration of those days and represent the lonely souls seeking freedom that inhabit these works. Along with the drawings, you can also read the poetic writings of the young artist.
This collection of Yoshitomo Nara's works can be said to be the starting point of his career as one of Japan's most famous artists. This masterpiece is being brought to you once again in a new edition with a new cover and English translations of all the texts.
