Ai Weiwei: Everyone is a dragon Unframed Print
$1,800.00
Lego blocks become silkscreen squares in a dazzling print by Ai Weiwei.
Limited Edition Print of 1106.
The dragon is a familiar subject for Ai Weiwei – an allegory for the power of the individual, and the importance of freedom. Conceived to mark the year of the dragon in the Chinese zodiac, Everyone is a dragon transforms the pixel-like compositions of his iconic works in Lego into an elaborate silkscreen print. Fittingly, printmakers at Make-Ready in London used the same ink supplier as Lego to create it. Precise alignment and strategic overprinting deliver sharp edges and intense saturation.
