Dining with the Sultan: Spice Set of Three with Curio Spice
$22.50
A 3-Jar Gift Set inspired by Dining with the Sultan.
Coming together to partake of a meal is a practice shared by all cultures. Food defines us—we are what we eat. Spice adds to the pleasure of food.
Baharat translates to ‘spice mix’ in Turkish and varies from home to home and region to region. Our collaboration with Curio Spice is inspired by the Mısır Çarşısı, the spice bazaar of central Istanbul, and is deeply aromatic with cumin, cassia, nutmeg, and a touch of mint. A warm, aromatic blend perfect for meats, vegetables, and legumes.
Mazeh, which means 'taste' in Farsi, is a version with Curio Spice of the classic Persian spice blend Advieh. Adds sweet and savory notes to everyday or celebratory rice, lamb, or vegetable dishes.
Sumac, Lebanese, is tart, and fruity; this exquisite sumac is wild-harvested from the foothills of Mt. Lebanon, then sun-dried and finely ground. Very distantly related to cashew and baies roses pink pepper, sumac is commonly found in dishes all around the Mediterranean and some Native American cuisines. Try this as a substitute for lemon juice or zest, or steep into a simple syrup to make pink lemonade!
