Sol Lewitt Arrow Pasta Bowl

Member Price
This arrow pattern pasta bowl was designed by Sol Lewitt for his Umbrian farmhouse in the 1980s that he and his wife Carol owned. The designs were adapted from his artwork by artisans at La Gioconda in Deruta, Italy, and they have produced it for over 30 years.

The work of Sol LeWitt (1928–2007) includes two and three-dimensional work which ranges from wall drawings, over 1100 of which have been executed, to photographs and hundreds of works on paper and extends to structures in the form of towers, pyramids, geometric forms, and progressions. LeWitt helped revolutionize the definition of art in the 1960s with his famous notion that “the idea becomes a machine that makes the art.”
