This coaster set is inspired by Automobile Tire Print (1953) by Robert Rauschenberg in SFMoMA's collection. This work was created with the assistance of John Cage, and the composer's car, a Model A Ford. 

Rauschenberg was known for his activism as well as his art, and he supported arts education and environmental protection well as art, and a portion of each sale goes to the Robert Rauschenbeg Foundation. LACMA's permanent collection includes close to 100 works by Rauschenberg.
