This pepper mill in maple was designed by Swiss architect Zumthor. A first sight this mill is reminiscent of the mushroom-shaped wooden pillars supporting the roof of an Alpine house. It was initially made by the designer as a single unique piece and entered production in 2006.
Peter Zumthor was commissioned to rethink the east campus at LACMA. An exhibition about this project, The Presence of the Past: Peter Zumthor Reconsiders LACMA
, was on view at LACMA in 2013.
