Twenty postcards are featured in this folio, published on the occasion of the exhibition New Objectivity: Modern German Art in the Weimar Republic 1919-1933 at LACMA October 4, 2015 through January 18, 2016.

Key figures of modernism, including Max Beckmann, Otto Dix, George Grosz, and August Sander, are featured alongside artists who may be less well known but who are nevertheless closely associated with New Objectivity, such as Aenne Biermann, Heinrich Maria Davringhausen, Hans Finsler, Werner Mantz, Lotte Jacobi, Christian Schad, and Georg Schrimpf. New Objectivity: Modern German Art in the Weimar Republic, 1919–1933 brings together a mix of painting, photography, and works on paper to explore this important period.
