We have run out of stock for this item.

The Iris dressing gown has banana leaves hand-painted on pearl silk charmeuse. Wraps can be tied in the front or the back, and side slits allow for the back of the robe to billow gracefully. Slit sleeves allow for ease of use. Iris was the ancient Greek goddess of the rainbow, she restored calm and balance to the natural world after a storm.

LFrank was founded by native Californian Liseanne Frankfurt who travels extensively throughout the world in search of inspiration. Liseanne’s designs bring a modern sensibility to the centuries-old tradition of jewelry-making. Her deep knowledge and commitment to making exquisite objects of personal adornment led to the recent creation of the LFrank Lingerie collection, representing an expansion into the realm of personal luxury as not only adornment, but as a lifestyle distinction.

The design was inspired by Hirafuku Hyakusui's painting Banana Tree in Rain in LACMA's permanent collection.

Since October 2012, Wear LACMA has collaborated with an array of established designers who have produced unique art-inspired products inspired by LACMA's collection and exhibitions. Designed in California, these items are sold at the LACMA Store and online, with all proceeds benefiting the museum. This project was created by LACMA's Director's Circle.
