LFrank Asteria Long Kimono Robe

Member Price

The Asteria kimono robe has sleeve borders and back embroidered in a floral pattern on cinnabar and black crepe de chine silk. Designed to be flattering, it features a self-belt and comfortable fit through the shoulders.

Asteria was a Titan goddess of dreams and oracles in ancient Greek mythology. She was thought to be “of the stars” and have the ability to send prophetic dreams. The embroidered design was inspired by Covered Tea Carrier with Design of Autumn Grasses in LACMA's permanent collection.

LFrank was founded by native Californian Liseanne Frankfurt who travels extensively throughout the world in search of inspiration. Liseanne’s designs bring a modern sensibility to the centuries-old tradition of jewelry-making. Her deep knowledge and commitment to making exquisite objects of personal adornment led to the recent creation of the LFrank Lingerie collection, representing an expansion into the realm of personal luxury as not only adornment, but as a lifestyle distinction.

Since October 2012, Wear LACMA has collaborated with an array of established designers who have produced unique art-inspired products inspired by LACMA's collection and exhibitions. Designed in California, these items are sold at the LACMA Store and online, with all proceeds benefiting the museum. This project was created by LACMA's Director's Circle.
