Ed Fella Documents was created for an exhibition at Chaumont, France on the artist, educator and graphic designer whose work has had an important influence on contemporary typography.

Fella (b. 1938) was a commercial artist in Detroit for 30 years. He has since devoted his time to teaching at the CalArts and to his own unique self-published work which has appeared in many design publications and anthologies. Now, Edward Fella dubs himself an exit-level designer, but is tirelessly pursuing his personal explorations as well as archiving his own output. Edited by Vincent Tuset-Anrès.

LACMA's exhibition Ed Fella: Free Work in DueTIme is on view from January 14 through July 30, 2017.
