Dave Lefner: Cuando Yo Cresca (When I Grow Up), 2003
$270.00
Based in Los Angeles and drawing inspiration from the city, Dave Lefner depicts imagery from popular American culture. He says of this silkscreen edition of the original reduction linocut that it “pays homage to my love of vintage movie posters, especially foreign works from the 1930s through the 1950s. Its subject matter ponders the rhetorical question of whether or not the childlike aspirations of my boyhood are still relevant dreams today. When I grow up... I want to be a cowboy or an astronaut!
