Clare Vivier's blue 'Charmant Charmant' tee was inspired by a vest from LACMA’s Costume and Textile collection dating from the French Revolution. Vivier has designed a Clare V. collection for LACMA that embrace the spirit of the garment; here CHARMANT printed twice on the tee echoes the silk needlepoint words embroidered on the vest's collar which would have attracted attention to the man's cropped, unpowdered hair - a new fashion worn by male supporters of the French Revolution.
Clare Vivier’s designs marry classic French glamour with minimalist L.A. cool in a line of handbags and clutches that are both utilitarian and stylish. With a nod to socially conscious construction, each bag bears the label “Locally Made." Vivier is firmly rooted in the local fashion community, and from conception to fabrication, her line has been made exclusively in Los Angeles since 2008
