Thirty over-sized postcards, thirty great ways to celebrate Andy Warhol's wit and art. One of the cards has a Warhol quote "You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you." Do you know someone who should get that postcard?
Included in the selection of postcards are Self-Portrait (Everybody must have a fantasy), 1964, Colored Campbell's Soup Can, 1965, Cow, 1966, more cows, flowers, cats, hearts and yes, shoes.
Warhol's first solo exhibition on the West Coast, and the first exhibition of his Soup Can paintings was at the Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles. LACMA's permanent collection includes over fifty works by Warhol including two of his tomato soup can paintings.
