Each of these 5 temporary tattoos represent a different street lamp found in Chris Burden's sculpture at LACMA, Urban Light. Each tattoo includes a reproduction of the hand-drawn illustration by Didi Beck.of the lamp, plus the lamp's name (such as Broadway Rose), and original location (for example: Downtown L.A.).
The 202 street lamps that compose the structure are primarily from Los Angeles County. The artist, Chris Burden (United States, 1946–2015), collected and restored the lamps over several years and designed their sculptural arrangement which was installed in 2008.
