SALE: Bernard Kester Strand Scarf
Strand Scarf, 2011 is a limited edition of 150. It is based on an original textile design, Strand, c. 1962, by Bernard Kester in LACMA’s permanent collection that was featured in California Design, 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way. This scarf was produced under Kester’s guidance in celebration of this landmark exhibition.
Bernard Kester, venerated professor, ceramicist and textile designer, taught at UCLA for thirty-seven years, serving as Dean of the School of Art for several years. He is also legendary at LACMA; his exhibition designs have elegantly presented and enhanced works of art here at the museum for forty-five years.
