John Baldessari Wrong T-shirt
$40.50
This t-shirt features Wrong by Southern California artist John Baldessari. A pioneer of Conceptualism, Baldessari created art at a time in which ideas superseded artistic objects. In Wrong, an early and pivotal example of this shift, a palm tree seemingly grows out of John Baldessari’s head. As the artist explained, “I loved the idea that somebody would just say that this is right and this is wrong. So I decided I would have…a work of art that was wrong—which seemed right to me.”
LACMA’s permanent collection includes Wrong plus additional works by John Baldessari.
