This catalog accompanies a two-venue exhibition co-organized by the Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College and the Pitzer College Art Galleries in Claremont, California. The embossed, hardcover catalog features new installation photographs of Barnette’s FBI Drawings at the Benton Museum and the living room style installation at the Pitzer College Art Galleries. The book includes essays by exhibition curators Rebecca McGrew and Ciara Ennis, the curator Rujeko Hockley, and the artist. The catalog also features a tribute to the artist’s project The New Eagle Creek Saloon, an installation that reimagines her father’s bar in San Francisco, the first Black-owned gay bar in the city.
