The Khaleeji Voice: Artisans of the Arabian Street

Member Price
The Khaleeji Voice: Artisans of the Arabian Street is a slip-cased set of six books that explores the burgeoning street culture throughout the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Countries ), Each book represents a different country: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Music, graffiti, dance, and photography are the focus, shown with shots of the artists, their work, and their environs.

For about two years Quentin de Pimodan and Melchior de Tinguy traveled around the GCC countries to find the urban arts scene, which is at a crossroads between traditional heritage and a young and vibrant culture.  They found that despite geographical distance and cultural differences, young people are moved by common codes and similar passions.

By Quentin de Pimodan, photography by Melchior de Tinguy.
