The Elder Statesman plaited scarf is generously sized and rib-knit in teal and forest green cashmere.
The Elder Statesman is a lifestyle collection founded on the principles of exceptional quality, impeccable craftsmanship, and the finest materials. Designed and conceived by Greg Chait and launched in 2007, the collections are driven by a deep appreciation and understanding of artisan disciplines.
This collection was inspired by Granville Redmond’s early 20th century painting California Poppy Field,
seen here, in LACMA's permanent collection. Redmond became identified with his paintings of poppy fields and in this work the carpet of bright flowers is seen against the more delicate colors of the brush and foliage.Wear LACMA: 50th Anniversary Edition: Wear LACMA is an art and fashion project featuring limited-edition pieces created by some of Los Angeles’s top designers and inspired by the museum’s permanent collection and exhibitions.
